Kronenbourg 1664 with Dynamo Système and Foster’s with in-can Scuba were launched to add value and excitement to the lager category by meeting the trend to offer ‘pub quality at home’ which was revealed following research carried out by the brewer.
Created specifically for can format, the new innovation combines the brands’ existing liquids with a unique lager widget which has been specially designed and patented by S&N UK to deliver an improved, smoother serve from a chilled can.
The new S&N UK lager widget has been specifically designed to accommodate lager’s more carbonated liquid. Developed with a tailored size, shape and format, the floating widget inside the can, when opened chilled, will release smaller bubbles to create a lively lager with a smoother taste.
Carol Saunders, head of customer marketing (off-trade), S&N UK, commented: “Our research has highlighted a key consumer trend towards serving ‘pub quality’ drinks when entertaining at home and our promotion meets this need by enhancing the overall consumption experience and ensuring the perfect delivery for consumers every time.
“The branded glasses will also increase brand awareness amongst new and existing consumers, allowing retailers to capitalise on the opportunity for both trial and repeat purchases.”
