SCA’s Velvet toilet tissue brand has had a busy 12 months.
 Rated 58 in this year's Top 100 Grocery Brands, Velvet has been promoting its Baby MD character with on-going television commercials, and became sponsor for Channel 4's 'Supernanny' series, both in Britain and the US.
The brand is also the subject of an interactive website, launched last summer and intended to develop brand awareness supply information. Parents and children can receive a newsletter, free games, downloads for screen savers and wallpaper and enter competitions and promotions.
Some £10m was invested in marketing Velvet to British consumers in 2007.
During the latter half of last year much of its store-related marketing activities were concentrated on the four major supermarket chains.
SCA is anticipating further growth this year.
