Unearthed set for sizzling summer


Capitalising on the expected increase in outdoor eating over the summer, unearthed is set to debut its new range of BBQ continental sausages into the chiller cabinet at the beginning of May.

Driven by this summer’s key events, unearthed aims to champion its expertise within continental meats to tap into the lucrative BBQ category.

The range comprises of four sausage varieties:

TUSCAN COOKING SAUSAGES (RRP £2.99, 200g) an Italian cured pork sausage, flavoured with fennel, sage and rosemary.

SPANISH SMOKED COOKING CHORIZO (RRP £2.99, 200g) taps into consumer demand for spicy meats. This new barbecue product is a spicy Spanish cured pork sausage seasoned with paprika and smoked over oak wood for a rich flavour.

SPANISH CHISTORRA COOKING CHORIZO (RRP £2.99, 215g) this spicy Spanish pork sausage seasoned with paprika and garlic, is similar to chorizo, and is wound into a ring so there is no worry of it falling into the BBQ.

BRATWURST RING (RRP £2.99, 200g) a lightly spiced traditional German pork sausage, seasoned with herbs and spices such as rosemary, marjoram, nutmeg and cardamon.

All of the new product lines will be available exclusively from Waitrose stores from the beginning of May. They will be supported with in-store promotions such as a multi buy deal of 2 for £5 and a PR programme.
