Brand leader Alpro has embarked on a comprehensive consumer education campaign around plant-based eating this summer, with Irish songstress Una Healy from The Saturdays fronting the activity.
With the UK in the grip of an unpredictable few months of weather – with the wettest summer since records began, now followed by a predicted heatwave – the campaign aims to highlight how plant-based eating can boost your mood and is better for you – and for the planet.
Una, who has made headlines in recent weeks for her marriage to England rugby star Ben Foden and for the birth of their daughter Aoife Belle, is a keen advocate of the power of plant-based eating. In a campaign of PR and communications across traditional print, online, social media and radio, Una is sharing her own tips to boost your mood in the face of such unpredictable weather, while educating consumers about the health and environmental benefits of plant-based eating.
This campaign is the latest activity in a year that has seen Alpro embark on its biggest-ever marketing push, incorporating TV advertising, digital, experiential sampling at a series of summer festivals, in-store activity and an educational PR campaign.
