At the beginning of October the straight-talking brand from British American Tobacco (BAT UK), Royals, will reveal a brand new pack. Whilst the current high quality Virginia tobacco and taste will remain the same, the Royals pack will be redesigned to help protect retailer’s margins and enhance the brand’s modern image.
As a leading brand in the Value For Money (VFM) segment, Royals has upgraded its packaging to meet the increasing demands of adult smokers in a challenging and competitive market.
The new look pack will feature modern graphics as well as a metallic silver finish. Designed for the UK market, BAT UK research has shown that two in three smokers are keen to try the new modern pack.
The new pack can also help retailers maximise their profit potential in the largest of segments – VFM.
Royals Brand Manager, Henry Lewis commented on the packaging upgrade: “We wanted to develop the Royals packaging in order to maintain its relevance for today’s UK smokers and have gone with a design chosen by consumers following extensive research. Consistently providing retailers with good volumes and high value, Royals is still the ‘Real Deal’ even 20 years on.”
Supporting all channels through its sales force, customer service department and distributive channels, BAT UK has renewed its commitment to Royals.
The new Royals pack will be available from October across all channels in all current formats, both red and blue variants in 10s, 20s KS and SK, all at RRPs of under £6: £3.03, £5.93, £5.99 respectively, as well as 24s at an RRP of £7.11.
