An opportunity to give consumers a range of premium soft cheeses with light, creamy textures and French provenance has been seized by PRÉSIDENT, the makers of premium brand cheese and butter, with the launch of Rondelé.
PRÉSIDENT Rondelé is a trio of full-flavoured, smooth textured, spreadable French cheeses and includes the first spreadable goats cheese launched by a major brand.
Meeting key food trends of convenience, provenance and indulgence, each ingredient is sourced exclusively from regions in France that are distinguished by the particular quality of their produce – including garlic and herbs from Garonne, Camargue salt from the French coast and goats cheese matured in the Poiton Region to create the three appealing flavours: Natural, Garlic & Herbs and Goats Cheese.
Martin Rickenback, Group Marketing Director Lactalis McLelland Limited, said: “PRÉSIDENT Rondelé was developed as we recognised a gap in the market for a premium spreadable cheese with a light, creamy texture and French authenticity. By sourcing high quality ingredients from France, we are creating a quality, different product that expands category choice.
As well as the melt-in-the-mouth texture, we have focused on flavour to provide consumers with a unique taste experience.”
PRÉSIDENT Rondelé has been created with tastes suitable for the whole family to enjoy and is available in a reclosable tub with lid format to make it easy to store. The new range will be supported by marketing and promotional activities.
The range will be available in 125g tubs in Waitrose and Tesco from the end of March with extension into Nisa stores from April.
