The nation’s leading dish brand from Procter & Gamble, Fairy, is supporting children’s charity Make-A-Wish for a fifth consecutive year to give Fairy consumers a chance to make a difference this Christmas.
With a campaign extending across November and December, the brand is encouraging both retailers and consumers to get involved and help make wishes of children living with life threatening illnesses come true.
Make-A-Wish is a charity that grants wishes to children and young people aged 3-18 fighting life-threatening illnesses and raise the capital necessary to fund those wishes. To date it has granted over 5,000 wishes and provided uplifting support and relief for countless families across the nation.
Fairy first partnered with Make-A-Wish in 2004 and, following a number of successful campaigns, is keen to continue to pledge its support for a cause that is very much at the heart of Fairy brand family values.
As such, Fairy is offering significant marketing support for this year’s campaign which includes extensive TV, PR and online activity.
Fairy will also be encouraging consumers to help support Make-A-Wish by purchasing special promotional packs in store, where 10p from every purchase will be donated to the charity. Original Fairy Liquid Bottles (500ml) will be given special neck-hangers to promote the campaign throughout November and December.
Fairy for Dishwashers Original and Lemon and all Fairy Liquid Lemon, Apple, Lavender and Pink Petals SKUs will have shelf ready packaging that includes a call to action and encourages consumers to visit the Fairy website (www.fairy-dish.com) to find out how they can help and to learn more about the work of Make-A-Wish and its collaboration with Fairy.
Paul Lettice, Trade Communications Manager at P&G comments: “Fairy has a long standing relationship with Make-A-Wish and we’re proud to be putting even more extensive support behind this year’s campaign.
“Christmas really is a time of giving and the high profile nature of our planned promotion will drive consumers to stores specifically looking for the products supporting Make-A-Wish and our special promotional packs will help create stand out of the fixture in store.
“Retailers keen to support the Make-A-Wish promotion will certainly see a good rate of return by stocking these quality products.”
