Evolution Foods launches on-pack promo with summer blockbuster

Evolution Foods, the UK’s leading independent supplier of dried fruits and nuts, is teaming up with Universal Pictures’ new film The Lorax to launch a green on-pack promotion, aimed at families.

Through the promotion, the company aims to boost its sales by around ten per cent in a bid to further establish Natural Selection as a key household brand which is associated with some of the best healthy baking and snacking products in the industry.

The on-pack promotion is running on all the products in the Natural Selection Ideal Ingredients range on sale in ASDA and Sainsbury’s.

Through the promotion, consumers will be directed to a bespoke page on the Natural Selection website where they will be able to enter their on-pack code before Monday October 1st to be in with a chance of winning.

James Knott, managing director at Evolution Foods, said: “Our partnership with Universal Pictures demonstrates our commitment to sustainable practices. We are passionate about what we do and are especially keen to support the strong environmental messages which are prevalent throughout Dr Seuss’s The Lorax.

“Where possible, we always try to freight our products by sea, not air, ensuring our carbon footprint remains small. We also believe strongly in recycling the waste from our factory; more than 80 per cent of waste is recycled, with around 76 per cent of corrugated materials coming from recovered material.  It is core values such as these which make The Lorax film a perfect fit for our Natural Selection brand.”

The promotion will give consumers the chance to win an action-packed five-night family break in the National Forest. As The Lorax communicates the importance of renewable resources and the conservation of trees, the winners will also be given the opportunity to plant their own trees in the National Forest, allowing them to be real life ‘forest guardians’!

In addition, three runners-up will be awarded tickets to see the 3D film adaptation, which comes from the creators of Despicable Me and follows the journey of a 12-year-boy who goes in search of the mysterious Truffula tree.
