Carte D’Or add two new exciting additions to its range

Carte D’Or, the number one premium dessert brand from Unilever UK, is launching two exciting new additions to its portfolio. A new Amaretto, Vanilla and Chocolate flavour and a Strawberry flavour with real strawberry pieces will both be available from March.

Florence Howell, brand manager for Carte D’Or said: “We are excited to introduce to the market another sophisticated ice cream flavour which is unique to Carte D’Or; Amaretto, Vanilla and Chocolate, as well as a classic strawberry flavour, which includes real fruit pieces.

“There are no other premium strawberry flavoured ice creams with real fruit pieces on the market. This update means we will continue to appeal to our existing consumers as well as offer a new proposition to encourage more shoppers to trade up to a premium dessert. These two variants demonstrate our innovative approach to NPD which will drive growth and excitement into the Premium Desserts market.”

The Carte D’Or brand will be supported by a £2m marketing investment in 2012 including a TV ad, and sponsorship of Mystery Dramas on ITV 1, which launches in March.

The Amaretto, Vanilla and Chocolate flavour is a delicious blend of vanilla ice cream with amaretti pieces and almond flavour ice cream, swirled with chocolate sauce and topped with amaretti biscuit pieces. The new strawberry flavour ice cream is swirled with juicy real strawberry fruit pieces. The packaging will be in keeping with the existing Carte D’Or range with the gold rimmed lid.

The RRP of Carte D’Or Amaretto, Vanilla and Chocolate and Carte D’Or Strawberry is £3.49. Both products will be available in a 900ml pack from March.
