McVitie’s Penguin, one of Britain’s most iconic chocolate biscuit bars, is pleased to announce a partnership with environmental charity the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to help raise awareness of conservational issues.
The WWF is one of the most recognisable charities in the UK, making it the perfect match with the iconic Penguin brand.
The partnership between Penguin and the WWF aims to inform families with young children about the work the WWF undertakes and why conservation is an important issue. McVitie’s will be providing consumers with the opportunity to adopt a penguin as well as donating 1p from every pack sold to the fund.
Nick Stuart, Commercial Manager, United Biscuits UK, says: “Penguin is renowned as a fantastic treat for kids, either as a lunchbox filler or to eat on the move. The partnership with the WWF will help raise their awareness of environmental issues and help kids develop an interest in social matters from an early age. Over a 12 week period we anticipate raising approximately £250,000 for the WWF.”
