Mars seeks to establish sharing in ice cream market

Mars is launching two new ice cream sharing products – Galaxy Minis and A Little Bit Of…Mars, Snickers and Bounty.

Galaxy Swirls
Galaxy Minis is a multi-pack of three dairy ice cream bites, consisting of vanilla heaven, caramel craving and chocolate temptations, all wrapped in Galaxy milk chocolate.

SRP is £2.99 and the product is aimed at adults.

Mars is also launching a mini ice cream bar multi-pack under the A Little Bit Of… brand.

Also with an SRP of £2.99, this addition to the range features bite-size Mars, Snickers and Bounty ice cream bars.

It is designed for sharing with friends and family.

Bep Sandhu, Mars trade relations manager, said: “We believe both products are strongly placed to help establish sharing in ice cream, as our brands already exist in other sharing formats, and importantly the two packs target very different consumers and distinctive sharing occasions.”
