Lyme Regis launches ‘super fruit’ bar

The fruit snacking brand claims it is the first in the UK to use pomegranate as an ingredient.

Widely recognised as ‘super fruits’, pomegranates and blueberries contain high level of antioxidants that protect the body from negative free radicals and have a beneficial effect on the function of blood vessels and heart health.

Group marketing director for Glisten, Dave Coulson, said: “With the rapid rise of both ‘super fruits’ and healthy snacking as a whole, our new Fruitus Pomegranate & Blueberry bar is well placed to make the most of consumer trends. This product innovation is the first of its kind in this category and will be followed by further Fruitus brand development in 2008.”

Moist and juicy, Pomegranate & Blueberry Fruitus is made from seven 100% natural organic ingredients. Certified by the Soil Association, each bar is free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives and is dairy and wheat free.

Along with the other varieties in the Fruitus range, Pomegranate & Blueberry contains one portion of fruit in each bar, which is flashed on the front of each pack and on every individual bar.
