HARIBO, the UK's leading gums and jellies brand, has launched a brand new hanging bag created specifically for vegetarian consumers. Funny Mix, which does not contain gelatine, features three fun shaped treats in each bag; Strawberry, Cola Bottle and Starfish. Funny Mix is clearly marked ‘Suitable for Vegetarians' and has been developed to meet the growing demand for a larger variety of vegetarian treats. Available now in 160g hanging bags, Funny Mix has an RRP of £1.12 and is free from artificial colours. The packaging is brightly coloured and features a translucent window, allowing consumers to see the product inside, reinforcing the fact that Funny Mix is of the usual high quality consumers have come to expect from HARIBO. HARIBO Brand Manager, Katy Clark said: "Funny Mix is an exciting development for our bagged sweets range and will allow Vegetarian consumers to have access to a wider selection of treats from the HARIBO brand. "Featuring a mini version of our top selling countline product, Giant Strawbs, which is also suitable for vegetarians, we know that we are offering the vegetarian consumer something they already know and love but in a bagged format. "The packaging clearly states that the product is suitable for vegetarians, making it easy for the consumer to locate it on shelf." HARIBO also has a range of countline products that are suitable for vegetarians, including Giant Strawbs, Giant Apples, Jelly beans and Freaky Fish. ... Hi, Ive not been able to eat sweets for years since turning veggie and have looked into these new sweets on the Haribo website. I cant seem to find any information about what is contained in the sweets to make them vegetarian and have noticed a symbol that i dont recognise and cant seem to find on the web. Can anyone tell me what approval this logo is and whether the products are vegetarian society approved or not? thanks |
