| Tuesday, 25 August 2009 | |||||||||||||
Cadbury, the UK's number one confectionery manufacturer, has teamed up with Asda to support its Tickled Pink campaign. For a limited time, Cadbury will be turning the iconic yellow packaging of Flake pink. Five pence from the sale of every special edition bar in Asda stores will go to registered charities Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign, supported by Asda's Tickled Pink campaign. Kate Harding, Trade Communications Manager at Cadbury, comments on why Cadbury and why Flake: "Good business and strong values go hand in hand which makes Cadbury performance driven and values led. "Throughout the history of Cadbury, times may have changed and continue to change but the company values remain constant and we are delighted to team up with Asda to support the Tickled Pink campaign and support the great work that Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign do for cancer sufferers and their families." The pink Flake will be on sale in all participating Asda stores from Tuesday 6th October. The promotion will be backed by in-store POS. ASDA will also promote the limited edition bar as part of their overall Tickled Pink marketing campaign. Source: Cadbury

... Breast Cancer Awareness is such a worthwhile cause, and it's great that so many companies are pledging their support financially - hopefully together we can make a big impact! If any ladies are looking to update their hallway or back doorstep with a shiny new doormat, now's the time to buy as I've found that doormatsdelivered.com will be donating £1 per sale this month for Breast Cancer Awareness - which is rather nice! If more suppliers started committing to raise funds we could raise so much money without actively trying to do so. Hope the heads up helps! Do you know of any other companies doing this too? |

... Looks & Sounds DELICIOUS! Another year and the fight continues. It's going to be a busy month for Breast Cancer Awareness, that's for sure! 3-Day Walks this month are in Philadelphia, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Atlanta. Many businesses have taken strides to increase Breast Cancer Awareness in the work place by giving employees custom Pink Ribbon pins like the ones found at www.PinkWings.com. Hope to see you out there! Keep Fighting for the Cure! |
