The Wrigley Company is delighted to announce some exciting news from its newly-acquired sugar brands portfolio. Wrigley is providing retailers with incremental sales opportunities by way of a hatrick of new initiatives which are set to shake up the confectionery aisle this summer.
First to add an injection to summer sales is the Starburst brand. Hitting the confectionery aisle this May are brand new Starburst Smoothies.
Each delicious sweet contains no artificial ingredients but does contain real fruit juice in line with other products in the range.
Starburst Smoothies, like the rest of the Starburst range, will feature the ‘Bursting with Fruit Juice' and ‘No Artificial Colours or Flavours' flash on the front of all packs.
New Starburst Smoothies are available in three mouth watering flavours - Strawberry & Banana; Blueberry, Strawberry, Yoghurt; Mango & Passion - and merge the great taste of fruit with creamy yoghurt flavour to give the ultimate sweet combination.
Available in both stick and large sharing packs, new Starburst Smoothies will have an RRP of 39p for a stick pack and an RRP of £1.37 for a large share bag. The launch will be supported by a marketing campaign that includes TV advertising, online activity, consumer PR, POS support and extensive sampling.
With the popularity of Smoothie drinks in the UK, Starburst Smoothies will undoubtedly be a must stock product – especially with summer around the corner!
Also benefiting from a revamp in time for summer, packets of Starburst Choozers will now contain an Apple & Orange flavoured chew in addition to the existing Raspberry & Orange and Orange & Mango variants. Bold new packaging designs, complete with the ‘Bursting with Fruit Flavours' flash on pack, will give increased standout on shelf from May onwards.
Completing the summer line up is the Skittles range which will also undergo a re-launch this month with a brand new iconic packaging design in time for the summer.
Playing on it's original ‘taste the rainbow' strapline, the new pack is bright, bold and colourful; complete with a striking new rainbow logo designed to be more eye catching on the confectionery fixture.
Visuals of the sweets will also be featured on pack, showcasing a new brighter green sweet. New look single serve and large sharing bags will benefit from an online presence.
