Tetley goes for more TV advertising

Monday, 27 April 2009
Tetley will return to television in May to support its Tetley Redbush brand. Forming part of its overall £6 million investment in marketing this year, the adverts will run across May and June and will coincide with targeted sampling activity.

Tetley remains the only tea brand to advertise a rooibos tea on television. "We are pushing forward with our growth programme for Tetley Redbush," says Simon Attfield, Customer Marketing Manager for Tetley GB.

"We need to continue driving awareness of Redbush to attract more people to try the product and incorporate it into their tea drinking regime."

Launched just a couple of years ago Tetley Redbush is approaching £2m brand status and Tetley Redbush 40s is the best selling rooibos tea in the market.

"The African setting and the humour of the ad had such a positive impact on sales when they were first aired that we will continue to use it in this campaign," adds Simon Attfield.

"It captures the natural nature of the product, its positive benefits for lifestyle and an element of indulgence brilliantly, I think."
