Kozy Shack bolsters market with Ready Grains cereal

Irish food producer Kozy Shack Europe is launching Ready Grains, a healthy and convenient multigrain breakfast cereal.

Produced in its factory in Castleblayney, the cereal is chilled, ready-to-eat and combines nutritious whole grains, oats, barley and rice, with fresh Irish milk.

Available in four variants, Original, Strawberry, Apple & Cinnamon and Peach, Ready Grains can be warmed in a microwave or eaten cold as a dessert.

It goes on shelf in Morrisons and ASDA in time for the January consumer focus on healthy eating.

Patrick Duffy, Director at Kozy Shack's Irish manufacturing plant, comments; "Whole grain breakfast cereals and porridge products have seen significant growth in the last year thanks to their health benefits.

"Kozy Shack is committed to producing wholesome foods free from artificial ingredients and we're confident the launch of Ready Grains, with its combination of great taste, convenience and natural ingredients, is ideal for today's more health conscious consumer."

The launch of Ready Grains is being supported by a programme of targeted advertising, PR and sampling activities to drive trial.

These include a free product promotion with Morrison's which will run in the Daily Mirror newspaper in January and a nationwide road show to sample Ready Grains with ASDA shoppers.

Family owned business Kozy Shack has been manufacturing fresh puddings made with natural ingredients for over 40 years.

The company, which was founded when it started to supply its flagship product, rice pudding, to local shops, is now a major dessert manufacturer with international distribution and sites in New York, California and Ireland.

New Ready Grains is available in 150g single serve pots, RRP £0.59, and twin packs, RRP £1.19
