Tickler cheddar gets extra listings in Co-op and Morrisons

Tickler fabulous extra-mature cheddar from The Cheese Company, the UK's largest producer of cheese and part of Milk Link, has secured new listings in 500 Co-operative stores, and an extra 360 Morrisons nationwide.

These further listings of 200g Tickler are in addition to current pre-pack and deli listings in Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco and Waitrose.

The Cheese Company launched Tickler branded cheddar in February 2007 in a bid to target the premium quality sector of the branded cheese market.

Since launch, Tickler has won numerous awards including The Grocer Branded Excellence Awards 2008, Supreme Champion at the Royal Welsh Show and the Caterer and Hotelkeeper Excellence in Food and Drink Awards.

To support this fast growing brand The Cheese Company has launched ‘The Posh Nosh Campaign', fronted by Michelin starred celebrity chef, Michael Caines, who has endorsed nine classic recipes that feature Tickler cheese and his top ten tips for ‘poshing-up simple nosh'.

The campaign plays on the ‘credit crunch' and the current of serving simple retro recipes with the very best ingredients in the home, ultimately positioning Tickler as the perfect food to ‘posh up simple nosh'.

Recipes include the aptly named Utterly Unbelievable Mac & Cheese (formerly referred to as Macaroni and Cheese) and Cheese on Toast (or Ravishing Rarebit as it will soon be known). All recipes are available at www.ticklercheese.co.uk.
