Soleil Clic Shimmer female shavers get relaunch from Bic

Leading shaver manufacturer Bic is relaunching its popular Soleil Clic and Soleil Clic Shimmer system shavers, incorporating a reduction in the volume and weight of packaging and recommended price point.

The new cardboard back starter kit has been designed to meet the growing consumer demand for sustainable package solutions.

An initiative to reduce environmental impact, the new choice of packaging works in line with Bic's global commitment to a sustainable environment.

The reduction in RRP from £4.99 to £3.99 will not only provide better value for money, but will also bridge the price gap between non refillable and system users.

This will encourage more female consumers to trade up to Bic system shavers, providing incremental sales for retailers.

In September, Bic expanded its male shaver range with the Bic 3 Grip.

Yolande de Trogoff, marketing manager for shavers at Bic, looks the rationale behind the recent changes to the women's shavers: "We believe these innovative developments to Bic's female system shavers are more in line with simplicity of the Bic brand; providing good performing products at an affordable price.

"With both trade and consumers are becoming increasingly eco-conscious, Bic is committed to continually reviewing its product ranges to make sure they meet the demands of its purchasers."

Ergonomically designed, the Soleil Clic and Soleil Clic Shimmer premium triple blade system shavers feature a curved handle, thick rubber guard-bard with micro-fin, lubricating strip, pivoting head and soft rubber grip for a smooth, comfortable shave.

The Soleil Clic and Soleil Clic Shimmer starter kit comes with a handle and two blade refills, with the new RRP £3.99.

Blade refills for both can be purchased separately in packs of four RRP £3.99.
