Fine food specialist, Merchant Gourmet, are introducing an exciting new antipasti line set to launch in Tesco nationwide this month. Discovered in Peru by Merchant Gourmet's founder Mark Leatham, the latest additions to the brand include Roquito Hot Sweet Chilli Peppers (270g), Grilled Antipasti Vegetables (225g) and Grilled Piquillo Peppers (225g).
The new additive-free antipasti range offers consumers ready to eat, traditionally preserved ingredients, available all year round for quick and easy meal solutions.
Already a signature ingredient on many retailer own label pizzas, the new Roquito Hot Sweet Chilli Peppers (£1.79) are expected to be well received by consumers.
This month also sees the launch of Merchant Gourmet's Piquillo Peppers (£1.98). Prepared using Peruvian time-honoured methods, hand-picked and fire roasted, and giving its chargrilled flavour and appearance.
Merchant Gourmet's Grilled Vegetable Antipasti (£1.79) is set to be another store cupboard essential. Appealing to every cook, this is a hassle-free and easy to use product that requires minimum preparation for a delicious result.
The new Peruvian range forms part of Merchant Gourmet's aggressive NPD programme, which is set to continue throughout 2009, with many additional new antipasti and bruschetta launches from this exciting range from Peru.
There will be yet more new launches to further develop the growing Merchant Gourmet brand.
Merchant Gourmet Retail Director, Clive Moxham, states: "After the continued success of Merchant Gourmet's SunBlush Tomatoes, we are very excited about this new antipasti line.
"We know that there is a real opportunity for growth in this market as consumers continue to seek out convenient, yet quality products that are additive free and require minimum preparation."
