New pack for Real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese

Wednesday, 12 November 2008
The Wensleydale Creamery, makers of the World famous Real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, much loved by Wallace of the animated duo Wallace and Gromit, is launching an exciting new pack to co-inside with a new TV special featuring the intrepid pair that will be shown over the forthcoming festive period.

‘Crackers about Cheese' is a pack specially created by The Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes, in the heart Yorkshire Dales that will appeal not only Wallace, but all cheese fans across the country.

Included within the charming pack is a humorously designed jar of ‘Middle Age Spread' caramelised onion chutney, a packet of oatmeal crackers, and of course, a Wallace & Gromit Real Yorkshire Wensleydale waxed cheese truckle.

The new packs are to hit shelves shortly in Morrisons, Booths and independent retailers in time for Christmas shoppers, priced at £4.99rrp.

David Hartley, Managing Director, said, "we really enjoy working with Wallace & Gromit and Aardman Animations, and are delighted to see that a new Wallace and Gromit TV half hour will be shown over the forthcoming festive period.

"Obviously we're pleased to make Wallace's favourite cheese, and what we hope that all fans of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale will settle down to watch the new feature with some great cheese and perhaps a little middle age spread".

‘Nice stocking filler Gromit', as Wallace might say.
