Alpro soya launches chocolate shake

Thursday, 06 November 2008

Alpro soya has launched a chocolate shake in convenient 250ml plastic bottle, providing consumers with the perfect healthier chocolate treat.

The Alpro soya Choco shake is naturally low in saturated fat - it is lower in saturated fat than other dairy chocolate milk drinks and is free from artificial sweeteners, colours and preservatives. The chocolate shake also contains calcium and vitamins B2 and B12.

Commented John Allaway, Alpro soya's commercial director: "The chocolate shake in bottles is a great entry product as it appeals to consumers who want the taste of an indulgent chocolate drink with less fat. It also provides our existing consumers with the perfect on the go product."

Packaged in a handy 250ml screw top bottle, the ambient chocolate shake is best served chilled. It is available in Tesco next to Alpro soya's range of flavoured UHT milks and Waitrose stores in the chiller cabinet. The RRP is 79p.

Alpro soya dominates the £103m dairy free category with a 64% share and is the only brand to have a range of products in each of the dairy free category's main fixtures, including fresh and UHT milks, cream, yogurts and desserts.
