![]() Ritz Crackers is to get a sales boost for Christmas, with a major press campaign set to create strong customer demand. A £450,000 media investment is expected to drive sales of the famous cracker for convenience retailers, and will include a high-profile advertising campaign in women's magazines to promote the unique sweet and savoury taste of Ritz Crackers. This will be supported by outdoor advertising and an exciting new interactive website www.ritzcrackers.co.uk, to ensure that Ritz is front of mind for all savoury snacking occasions. Ritz is already an £11.2 million brand, growing at 16.5 per cent year on year. However, sales in the last quarter are nearly twice as high as in any other three-month period, as customers look for a cracker to enjoy with cheese, as part of a canapé or on its own as a tasty savoury snack, making it a must-stock for the convenience sector over the festive period. Jack Pipe, convenience sales director at Kraft Foods, said: "Given the scale of our media investment, it's likely that customers will want to buy Ritz more than ever this Christmas. "The brand has grown in volume from 14.7 per cent to 17.4 per cent this year, so it is already a key product for convenience retailers. And with sales peaking in Christmas week, convenience retailers should stock up in anticipation of a surge in demand." Source: Kraft Foods Related Articles
