Dorset Cereals launches three new products

Tuesday, 21 October 2008
Dorset Cereals, the UK's fastest growing cereal brand, continues to innovate with the launch of three new products including: a first for the company, ‘Honey Granola'; premium ‘Fantastically Fruity Roasted and Toasted Muesli'; and on the go Cereal Bars in three different varieties ‘Berries and Cherries', ‘Fruit, Nuts and Seeds' and ‘Super High Fibre'.

"Our recipe development at Dorset Cereals is very much a team decision as we are all passionate about what we make. If the team likes a particular recipe, chances are that customers will too. We also get a huge amount of feedback from Dorset Cereals fans saying how much they love our mueslis and many have asked ‘when will Dorset Cereals do a Granola?'

"So we have developed Fantastically Fruity for the discerning muesli lover and our first ever Granola - Honey Granola, for people wanting the same great taste but a crunchy texture.

"Our new Cereal Bars are also a tasty way of experiencing our top selling muesli recipes when you are on the go and want something deliciously full of fruit, nuts and seeds to boost your energy levels," says Patrick Horton, Marketing Director of Dorset Cereals.

Honey Granola, the first granola launched by Dorset Cereals, is based on a traditional recipe and is made with the finest oats, rye flakes, sunflower seeds, flaked almonds, pecans and pumpkin seeds.

These flakes, nuts and seeds are then gently toasted with honey, grape seed oil and just a hint of natural vanilla extract.

The mixture is then lightly baked to make loose ‘tumbly' yet crunchy Granola, which is delicious served with milk, as a topping for creamy Greek yogurt or even straight from the pack as a tasty snack.

Fantastically Fruity Roasted & Toasted Muesli, elegantly packaged in deep grey and pink, is Dorset Cereals most luxurious muesli to date.

Fantastically Fruity, as the name suggests, is jammed packed with the most delicious fruits including mango, dates, raspberries and cranberries.

As with all Dorset Cereals recipes, each ingredient has been carefully selected for the very best taste.

Fantastically Fruity is packed with premium nuts, seeds and oats which have been roasted and toasted to really bring out their full flavours. These include pumpkin and sunflower seeds along with roasted pecans, almonds and toasted coconut.

The Cereal Bars are available in Dorset Cereals' top selling muesli recipes: ‘Super High Fibre', ‘Berries & Cherries' and ‘Fruit, Nuts & Seeds'.

Each bar has the same ingredients as the Muesli recipes - just with the delicious addition of agave syrup to hold all the flakes, fruits, nuts and seeds together in a convenient to eat bar. The new Cereal Bars come in packs of three.

Following a successful launch last year, Dorset Cereals' Naturally Light Flakes has been re-packaged to illustrate that this delicious natural breakfast cereal has less than 2% fat and contains 103 calories for a 30g portion.
