Revels Mystery Sweet packs to target sales |

![]() Retailers have a fantastic opportunity to drive sales in the bite-sized chocolate sector with the introduction of new, limited edition Revels Mystery Sweet packs. Available from November, coffee is being temporarily replaced for the first time in the brand's 41 year history. The Revels limited edition follows the £2million Revels Eviction TV, press and digital campaign activity earlier this year, which offered consumers the chance to vote-out their least favourite flavour. The debate raged, as a staggering 250,000 votes were cast with 41% voting for coffee's exclusion over second-place raisin (26%). Fans of coffee should fear not, however, as it will make a return to Revels packs in the New Year. Bep Sandhu, Trade Relations Manager for MARS comments: "The eviction process was first for the UK bite-sized confectionery market and, alongside a £2million investment programme, helped drive consumer awareness and excitement around the brand. With over 250,000 votes cast the appeal of Revels is clear and retailers should be looking to stock-up now to take advantage of the new limited edition packs." Sandhu continues: "The new Mystery Sweet Revels packs also encourage trial by not directly revealing the new flavour. The new pink design, maximising stand out on shelf, alludes to the new flavour but ultimately consumers will have to buy the new pack to confirm the identity of the mystery sweet." The Revels brand is currently worth over £37 million to retailers and holds an 8% share of the bite-sized chocolate sector, one of the fastest growing chocolate confectionary categories.
