![]() Schwartz, the brand leader in herbs and spices, has exclusively teamed up with Booker to sell a range of their herbs and spices, sachet mixes and stir-fry tubes into the convenience sector. With a core range of 27 products, available in small case sizes, this will create an opportunity for the convenience sector to add value and improve margins, while offering products which already have a huge presence in the multiples, but until now had no presence in the convenience sector. With ninety per cent of consumers being aware of the brand, Schwartz is the leader in herbs and spices throughout the major multiples and offers convenience store customers reassurance through the range and quality. The convenience range focuses on kitchen essentials and meal solutions, with flavours to cover the favourite British meals including traditional, Italian and Indian. Point of sale will increase in-store visibility and also target the consumer need for everyday items or impulse purchases, along with compact packaging which is highly visible on-shelf. Mark Tinner, Sales & Marketing Director for McCormick Foodservice division said, "Teaming up with Booker, the leading wholesaler in the UK, will offer the convenience sector the first opportunity to give their customers the world leading brand in herbs and spices, which until now, has not been available in this sector. It will also give consumers a wider opportunity to purchase our products outside of the major multiples."
