Walkers starts search for Monster Munch puppets |
| Wednesday, 15 October 2008 | |||||
![]() Walkers Snacks Ltd today admitted that their three iconic monster puppets, stars of the Monster Munch adverts in the 1970s and 80s, have gone missing. The company has launched a nationwide search to find them and has put up a £5,000 reward for their safe return. The retro Monster Munch snacks returned to stores this month amid a high profile marketing campaign. But as Walkers Snacks Ltd started working on an advertising campaign to support this re- launch they realised that their three prize assets were in fact missing. Each of the monsters represents a much loved flavour; Roast Beef, Pickled Onion and Flamin' Hot. Walkers Snacks Ltd acquired the Monster Munch brand from Smiths Crisps in 1989, and believe that the monsters have been mislaid during this transitional period. They have remained untraceable ever since. Dominic South, Monster Munch Senior Brand Manager, said: "We're desperate to track down our three furry brand icons and would appeal to retailers and the public to come forward with any information, however insignificant it may seem. We need these characters urgently for an ad campaign!" Possible sightings and claims to the reward can be reported via www.findourmonsters.com. Source: Walkers Snacks Related Articles
