Mini Babybel themed packs available for Halloween

Bel UK is creating fun and "theatre" on the cheese fixture in the run-up to Halloween with the launch of exclusive themed packs of Mini Babybel Original to help shoppers celebrate the occasion in style.

The company is serving up seasonal innovation for the category with limited-edition 12-packs featuring fun imagery on the individual cheese wrappers, pack trays and tags to celebrate the annual event.

Jean-Paul Pelaez, Head of Category Management at Bel UK, said: "We are helping retailers maximise the sales opportunity through giving the brand a light-hearted design makeover that reflects the nature of the occasion to help them tap into the true spirit of Halloween.

"Halloween is a perfect opportunity to strengthen the image of Mini Babybel by communicating the fun aspects of the brand and its universal family appeal. This seasonal packaging will keep shoppers interested and involved in the brand - draw more people to it and stimulate impulse purchase in the weeks leading up to the event.

"Halloween has grown in popularity year-by-year and is now a major annual celebration for kids, their parents and every other generation.

"This pack will provide parents with an opportunity to create Halloween fun in children's lunchboxes in the weeks leading up to the occasion while also catering for treating needs on the big night itself."

The Halloween images featured on the 12-pack tray, tag and on the cheese wrappers include illustrations of a seasonal pumpkin, an evil looking witch, a ghoulish ghost and a terrified cat!

Pelaez added: "These fun and impactful designs will reinforce Mini Babybel's standing as a must-have brand around the Halloween season. They will add to the enjoyment of the occasion for everybody concerned - and ultimately deliver commercial benefits for retailers by generating incremental sales opportunities throughout October."

The limited-edition packs of Mini Babybel are now available in readiness for Halloween which is celebrated on October 31.
