Cadbury UK is pleased to announce that the Creme Egg Twisted experience will be returning to the nation's living rooms from October 6th, as the playful advert that accompanied the launch of the brand will be back on TV, supported by a £1.5m investment.
The ad carries the strapline, "It's no Creme Egg... it's Twisted!"
Out of the wreckage of an exploded Creme Egg the Twisted bar - the evil cousin of the Creme Egg - comes to life and begins causing mayhem in an amusing mission to ‘release the goo', showcasing the mischievous personality of the bar.
In addition to TV, there will be a large scale national sampling campaign at the end of October. The key message will be "Have a Twisted Halloween", again reinforcing the bar's darker mischievous personality.
Kate Harding, Trade Communications Manager, comments, "Since the launch of Creme Egg Twisted in May, it is has been received extremely well by shoppers, becoming the number one countline, with prompted awareness of 68% after only three weeks , and a retail sales value of £10.8 million.
"The TV ad was a major contributing factor to this success, which is why we have chosen for it to return to screens from October, to continue promoting the Creme Egg experience throughout the year."
In order to make the most of the TV advertising, Cadbury would advise retailers to double face Creme Egg Twisted between Cadbury Double Decker and Cadbury Boost.
Double facing Cadbury Creme Egg Twisted increases visibility, enhancing the probability of a purchase and saves retailers from continually re-stocking this popular product.
