Premier Foods, the UK’s No. 1 food manufacturer, has added a sixth variant to its range of ambient soups, Batchelors Soupfulls. The new Harvest Vegetable flavour will have a high vegetable content and contain wholesome chunks of seven different vegetables.
Batchelors launched Soupfulls at the end of last year, as a response to growing consumer demand for chunky soups. In addition to the new Harvest Vegetable variant, the range also includes Classic Beef and Vegetable, Chicken and Country Vegetable, Tuscan Tomato and Pasta, Creamy Chicken Potato and Mushroom, and Mediterranean Tomato and Vegetable.
Soup sales are enjoying strong value and volume growth on the back of poor summer weather. Ambient and chilled soup sales are driving the gains with a focus on healthier and heartier soups.
Lorne Gray, Senior Brand Manager for Batchelors, said, “Soupfulls is perfect as a meal or snack, and popular with consumers of all ages and backgrounds. The range meets consumer trends for convenience, health and quality. Soupfulls is both filling and satisfying, and this new variant is being released in response to high consumer demand.”
Soupfulls Harvest Vegetable has an RRP from £1.39 and is packaged in outers of five. Each pouch weighs 400g, and should be merchandised within chunky ambient soup.
Further to this launch, all Campbells soups have now completed the process of being rebranded as Batchelors. The change has been phased in over a number of months, and does not affect the actual products.
