Pot Noodle, the iconic snack brand from Unilever UK, is set to launch a brand new on-pack promotion, offering consumers the chance to win one of thousands of spinning forks.
The promotion, which will be on shelf from September, will benefit from a massive £10 million marketing support package for 2008 including dedicated TV, press, mobile, online and student media advertising.
Pot Noodle sales controller, Mike Miller says, “The spinning fork promotion offers fun-loving consumers the ultimate in convenient snacking as they won’t even need to twist their fork! This hilarious instant win promotion is designed to build on the ‘quirkiness’ of the Pot Noodle brand and appeal directly to our core consumer base, driving incremental sales.”
Consumers can simply lift the lid of their Pot Noodle to find out if they have won and enter their winning code online or via text. Their spinning fork is then posted directly to them.
Pot Noodle is currently worth a massive £73.3m. This year, the brand is growing at +2.5% and has seen a huge +13% growth in the last twelve weeks.
The range is available in 11 different flavours and includes standard, King Pot and Mini Pot variants.
In 2007, the salt content across the Pot Noodle range was reduced by 50% compared to 2005 in order to address consumer concerns over healthy eating.
