PLB boosts beer range with JW Lees deal

Tuesday, 09 September 2008
UK drinks company PLB is expanding its beer division by becoming the UK off-trade agent for three premium bottled ales from Manchester-based brewery JW Lees.

PLB is taking on Moonraker Strong Ale, John Willies Bitter and Brewers Dark, which was originally a seasonal ale but is now being introduced on a year-round basis.

All three ales are being packaged in 300g lightweight bottles.

PLB, better known as UK wine importer, decided late last year to try and build up its portfolio of beers and ciders and it now has brands from Brazil, Spain, the Czech Republic and Lithuania in its portfolio.
