Air Wick Aqua Essences range meets consumer demand

Monday, 01 September 2008
When consumers told Reckitt Benckiser that they wanted an air freshener that ‘looks as good as it smells’ the Air Wick team took them at their word.

The result is the innovative and stylish 'diffuser' air freshener from the new Air Wick Aqua Essences range.

Creating a completely new premium liquid air freshener segment, Air Wick Aqua Essences reed diffuser combines a unique formulation, with delicately scented clear liquid and coloured beads contained in a modern glass vase - the fragrance gently and continuously diffused through the natural rattan stems.

With TV advertising launching on 8th September, the new Air Wick Aqua Essences will enjoy massive support on TV, online and at POS.

The new range will also be showcased as part of the long running Emmerdale programme sponsorship. The launch is part of the total £25m marketing support programme for Air Wick.

Phil Thomas, Marketing Director, Reckitt Benckiser UK Household and Personal Care commented, “Air Wick has brought a high end proposition into the mainstream for the first time. This is consumer driven innovation – it is what Reckitt Benckiser does best and it is what has kept Air Wick in its number one position. The new reed diffuser provides long lasting, high quality, more natural smelling fragrance combined with design that can take its place with pride, in any living space.”

In addition to the diffuser, the Air Wick Aqua Essences range includes Freshmatic (Max and Mini), electrical, candle and aerosols formats.

Air Wick Aqua Essences is widely available in store and comes in three fragrances, developed with two of the world's leading fragrance houses – Freesia and Jasmine, Morning Mist and Magnolia and Cherry Blossom and has a RRP of £5.99.
