Cadbury unveils two Dairy Milk variants

Saturday, 23 August 2008
Cadbury, the UK’s number one confectionery manufacturer, will be creating more moments of pleasure on 8th September, with the introduction of two new Cadbury Dairy Milk variants, Cadbury Dairy Milk Cranberry and Granola and Cadbury Dairy Milk Apricot Crumble Crunch.

Cadbury Dairy Milk New Variants
The launch will be supported by a £2m media campaign entitled ‘Loving Combinations’, including PR, extensive sampling and experiential activities and dedicated point of sale (POS) as well as TV advertising.

A year and a half in the making, Cadbury Dairy Milk Cranberry and Granola and Cadbury Dairy Milk Apricot Crumble Crunch flavours were selected following extensive consumer insight and expert experimentation with nearly 200 different flavour combinations. Cadbury Dairy Milk is celebrated for its use of the highest quality ingredients and the new variants are no exception, creating a perfect combination of flavours with generous helpings of juicy fruit and crunchy cereals, 80 years after the first combination (Cadbury Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut) was created.
The packaging has been carefully designed to ensure maximum consumer pull and stand out on shelf.

Kate Harding, Trade Communications Manager at Cadbury comments:
“Cadbury Dairy Milk has over 100 years of heritage and continues to be the number one chocolate brand in the UK, worth over £370m in retail sales value. The launch of the new Cadbury Dairy Milk Cranberry and Granola and Cadbury Dairy Milk Apricot Crumble Crunch is expected to build on this success by offering new and exciting combinations and driving incremental sales for retailers, whilst also appealing to our loyal and valued Cadbury Dairy Milk consumers.”

The new Cadbury Dairy Milk variants should be prominently displayed at launch to increase visibility and drive purchase, and will retail at RRP £0.49 for 49g bars For more information about Cadbury, please call the Cadbury hotline on 0870 191 7343.

The cranberry one is...
The cranberry one is a pretty average bar, with a fairly bland taste. No real difference to fruit and nut, you can't taste the cranberries and the granola, well you could just mistake it for nuts
