Nestlé adds Kit Kat Chunky Milk Duo bars

This will see the current kingsize Kit Kat Chunky Milk bar replaced with a two piece bar, Kit Kat Chunky Milk Duo.

Also joining the range will be a new Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter Duo variant, following the huge popularity of it in the standard Chunky format.

Available from June, Kit Kat Chunky Duo responds to the growing consumer trend for more portion control.

“Providing Kit Kat Chunky Duo in a two piece format makes the bar more manageable for your customers, giving them the choice as to how and when they consume it,” comments Graham Walker, Nestlé UK Trade Communications Manager. ”They can eat it now or later, or even share it if they want to!”

Nestlé Confectionery’s larger Kit Kat Chunky Milk format is growing in popularity - currently worth £2.5 million, sales have grown by 15% in the past 12 months and year-to-date sales up a massive 27%.

The total Kit Kat brand continues to grow and is up 16% over the past 12 months due to the fantastic performance of Kit Kat 4 finger, Kit Kat Chunky and Kit Kat 2 finger.

In fact, the Kit Kat brand is the fastest growing brand in the top 25, year to date.

The launch of Kit Kat Senses in March 2008 – Nestlé’s biggest impulse launch of the year, along with Kit Kat Dark being named the 2008 chocolate ‘Product of the Year’ will also help drive further growth in 2008.
