McEwan's Ale was back on the TV screens over the weekend when Jygsaw Brands, the sales and marketing company behind the brand, updated a classic 1960's TV advert to celebrate a recent survey that confirmed McEwan's as the leading Ale brand in Scotland.
The survey, undertaken during October 2008 by TNS Worldpanel, placed McEwan's as Nº 1 Scottish Ale in the Scottish Grocery Sector.
Michael Hardy, trading director, Jygsaw Brands Ltd commented: "To receive this recognition just goes to show how much passion there is for the brand in Scotland, for it to be announced around St Andrew's Day is just icing on the cake.
"It is fantastic to see the Singing Cavalier of McEwan's back on Scottish TV screens, this comes right on the tail of the Off and On Trade promotions we have been running.
"The promotion of McEwan's Local Heroes campaign celebrated the partnership between McEwan's and so many Scottish drinkers, with branded glasses and merchandise up for grabs it proved exceptionally successful in engaging McEwan's with the drinkers in our heartland."
The ads aired, with a number of other iconic Scottish ad campaigns, throughout the weekend and the St Andrew's Day Bank Holiday and highlights the conviction and energy behind McEwan's since Jygsaw took on the sales and marketing of the brand early in 2008.
