Heidsieck launches vintage Champagne in UK market

Monday, 01 December 2008
Champagne house Charles Heidsieck, which is distributed by Maxxium UK, is introducing its Vintage 2000 to the on- and off-trades in time for the Christmas period.

Following the release of the Charles Heidsieck Rosé Réserve earlier this year, the Vintage 2000 is now available in both the on and off trade, further expanding the luxury range of Champagnes already available in the UK from Charles Heidsieck.

Janette Peat, Maxxium UK brand manager, said: "The introduction of the Vintage 2000 is perfectly timed for the festive season.

"Despite the economic downturn, our Champagne sales continue to do well as people are still keen to upgrade to luxury products at this time of year.

"Research indicates that almost 20% of UK consumers are prepared to trade up at Christmas and buy more expensive products."
