![]() Beverage Brands is thrilled to announce that WKD has entered into an exclusive TV programme sponsorship deal with Nuts TV to support Ricky Hatton, IBO Light Welterweight World Champion. ‘Ricky Speaks' will feature Hatton and Dom McGuiness, former talkSPORT radio pundit, in a series of six, one hour shows to be aired live on a weekly basis. The programmes will feature the congenial Hatton interviewing his celebrity friends and contacts from the world of sport and entertainment. Announcement of the deal comes after Beverage Brands said that WKD packs will be price marked leading up to Christmas. Hatton recently completed a run of successful stand-up gigs throughout the UK as his first step into the world of comedy, and the chat show is an apt progression for the popular boxing hero. WKD will leverage its programme sponsorship with: TV ads filmed exclusively for the series; weekly competitions to attend the live shows, meet Ricky himself and go behind the scenes; the chance to pose the programme's ‘WKD Question of the Week' via on-line submissions. Visitors to the WKD website will also have the opportunity to win a trip to Las Vegas as part of the brand's tie in with the chat show. WKD's exclusive sponsorship of the new programme will be supported through: outdoor advertising, press activity, radio promotion, and washroom advertising. Beverage Brands' Marketing Director, Karen Salters, says: "We're really chuffed to be supporting Ricky in his new venture. He's a sports personality who is held in high regard by our target market. He's a great character and we know our consumers will really enjoy his humour." Damon Letzer, Commercial Director at Turner Media said: "We have worked with WKD for some time and felt Ricky Speaks offers WKD a great sponsorship opportunity. WKD brings value to the partnership due to a great brand synergy and we're delighted to be working with them." Source: Beverage Brands Related Articles
