In the next phase of its £8m 2008 marketing investment, Russian Standard, Russia’s number one premium vodka distributed in the UK by leading independent distributor First Drinks Brands, is rolling out its first cinema advertising campaign.
The summer burst will further drive sales and awareness of the brand over the key summer period.
The 30” execution is a specially re-worked cut of its TV advertising creative, shot by acclaimed music video director Michael Haussman.
The advert is packaged to run during films that appeal to Russian Standard’s target audience of aspirational 18-34 year olds.
A high level of activity will feature around the release of the much-publicised Batman film, The Dark Knight, starring the late Heath Ledger, on 24th July.
The campaign will be seen by nine million people over a six-week period through July and August.
“Russian Standard has catapulted into the position of the UK’s third biggest premium vodka brand within a year of launch which is a major testament to the brand’s popularity in both the off and the on-trade,” says Andy Corris, senior brand manager for Russian Standard at First Drinks Brands.
“Russian Standard has proved to be the most successful vodka launch of the past three years,” adds Andy Corris. “Russian Standard continues to differentiate itself from its close competitors in terms of taste and brand experience by focusing on its unique attributes – authentic Russian heritage and unparalleled smoothness – and we are committed to building on this outstanding success throughout the year.”
