Thresher sources off-dry Riesling

Saturday, 05 July 2008
Specialist off-licence chain Thresher has been working with The WineBarn German wine supplier to source an off-dry Riesling, which goes in-store next Friday (July 11).

Thresher has chosen the 2006 Heyl Riesling Kabinett off-dry white wine by organic producer Heyl zu Herrnsheim.

The wine is said to have the “delicate aromas of exotic fruits, tangy limes and minerals, with a perfectly balanced interplay of fruit and acidity and a long lingering finish”.

Jonathan Butt, head buyer Thresher, said: “It is great to find a German supplier (The WineBarn) who specialises in smaller producers at the higher quality end of the ladder. It makes the task of sourcing parcels for our specialist wine stores that much easier.”

The wine will be available from July 11 at £15.99, with a special offer of ‘three for two’.
