Kendermann set for 3W wines launch
by Mike Dennis German wine producer Reh Kendermann, the Black Tower company, has gone to California, South Africa and Argentina to source wines for the UK launch of the 3W range.
The range comprises a Sauvignon Blanc from the Western Cape, a Zinfandel Rosé from California and a Malbec from the Mendoza region of Argentina. The 3W brand is said to be targeted at younger drinkers, with the wines being typical of the styles found in the three regions. Reh Kendermann is also putting some fizz into its Black Tower brand with the launch of Black Tower Fizz in a 200ml black and silver can. PR manager Trisha Booth said the can was targeted at Black Tower drinkers who were looking for something light to drink, either at lunchtimes or at picnics and other informal occasions. The can made its first UK appearance at this weeks London International Wine Fair this week and it will be shown to buyers in both the multiple and cash and carry trade channels. Black Tower has broken through the one million cases a year market in the UK. The profile of the brand has never been higher and the sales have never been higher, said Booth. Reh Kendermann is adding two new lines to the Weight Watchers wine range in the UK by introducing Zinfandel Rosé and Pinot Grigio at expected retail prices of £4.99.
