Bounty teams up with Kim and Aggie

The UK's leading household towel, Bounty, today announces an exciting new campaign fronted by celebrity cleaning gurus Kim and Aggie.

The product endorsement and surrounding PR campaign launches this month, with activity running throughout the summer.

This marks the start of SCA’s investment of £6 million into marketing activity for the brand during 2008.

To showcase its superior and versatile cleaning uses, Bounty has launched the campaign by commissioning a national household survey, investigating the nation’s best and worst cleaning habits, the results of which will be released imminently.

Kim and Aggie will comment on the results as well as providing their own top tips for natural cleaning using Bounty, in a push to establish Bounty as the household essential for all cleaning occasions and locations.

With its superior strength and absorbency, combined with its ability to be rinsed and re-used, Bounty is the perfect ingredient for a wide range of Kim and Aggie’s cleaning techniques and unusual tips.

The national and regional consumer PR campaign will also include a radio day where Kim and Aggie will be interviewed about their top cleaning tips by a range of BBC and commercial regional stations later this month.

Bounty was acquired, under licence, last year by SCA as part of the transfer of Procter and Gamble’s European Tissue operations.

The addition of Charmin, Bounty and Tempo to the existing portfolio gives SCA further prominence in the major multiples and independent retailers and key pre-requisites for the creation of an even better platform for consumer-driven awareness.

This will also serve to strengthen SCA’s position in several important markets across Europe.

Kim Woodburn comments: “We are thrilled to be working with Bounty and are very intrigued as to what the survey will unveil about our nation’s cleaning habits.”

Aggie MacKenzie comments: “Bounty is a must-have for all household cleaning, as it is so absorbent and versatile, which means it is perfect for all our latest top cleaning tips.”

Joanne Mathers, Brand Manager at Bounty: “We are extremely excited to have Kim and Aggie on board with the new campaign. Their kudos in the area of household cleaning is unrivalled so the endorsement is a really valuable one for us.

"Their fantastic cleaning tips with Bounty really focus on and reflect the versatility and quality of the brand.”
