Hancocks launches exclusive countline range
The specialist confectionery cash and carry has just launched a brand new range of 18 countlines, exclusive to Hancocks and the independent market.
From Turkish confectioner Solen, the new range offers all types of retailer an excellent high margin opportunity whilst giving their customers a new selection of great value, quality products. Retail prices range from just 15p to 39p which is perfect for an impulsive purchase. We are very excited about this range as it really delivers the quality and value that independent retailers need to provide in order to compete. These products demonstrate the message that Hancocks is giving, to look beyond the core brands and offer something a bit different to your customers says Hancocks purchasing director Richard Brittle. Included within the range is Jingle, a pack of three chocolate filled biscuits. Retailing at just 15p gives the retailer a 37% margin. Winergy is a chocolate covered peanut and caramel bar which can retail at 25p to give the retailer 31.9% margin. And there is a selection of fruit chew packs, the Vivienne range, which can retail at 20p to earn a massive 41.2% margin. This is a great profit opportunity. Whilst the brand is currently little known, a strong and creative display will get that all important first purchase.
