Boost Juice Bars and Nestlé UK have announced plans to launch a range of unique fruit smoothies containing 100% natural health 'boost' ingredients.

Boosted Smoothies will be available in the UK from April in four delicious flavours each containing ingredients that can help keep you going for longer; help strengthen your body’s natural defences; help aid memory & concentration; or have a positive effect on fat oxidation.

They will be available in 250ml and 750ml bottles priced at £1.79 and £2.49 respectively in leading food stores including major multiples from the end of April.

Mango Mania Energy Boost gives a lift thanks to guarana and ginseng.

Berry Blitz Immunity Boost features a dairy-free probiotic and Vitamin C to help strengthen the body’s defences.

Smashin’ Strawberry Mind Boost has a ginseng & guarana mix which can aid memory and concentration.

Tropical Twist Metabolism Boost contains Teavigo a taste-free green tea extract which can have a positive effect on fat oxidation.

Boost Juice Bars Founder and CEO, Janine Allis says: “We’re passionate about ensuring that every product with the Boost Juice Bars name on it not only tastes great, but is healthier for you; and we only work with partners who are the right fit for us.

“Nestlé has a fantastic reputation for quality and brings the marketing experience you’d expect from a big company; but most importantly the team we worked with really understands the Boost Juice Bars brand.

“We also loved having access to the fruit experts at the Nestlé Product Technical Centre in Lisieux, France who helped to develop the products.”

“We were blown away by the response in research,” adds Janine. “Although customers weren’t familiar with Boost Juice Bars, they certainly preferred the Boosted Smoothies versus other brands. It’s clear that the UK is ready for a boost!”

Jon Walsh, Managing Director of New Business at Nestlé UK, says: “We are delighted to be working with Boost Juice Bars to create Boosted Smoothies which are a fun, delicious and healthy way to contribute to your five a day. We’ve basically captured the energy and excitement of Boost Juice Bars, added the nutrition and marketing capabilities of Nestlé and bottled it!”

“Consumer tests show our Boosted Smoothies will bring new consumers into the category. Many consumers rightly love the regular smoothies that are currently available but with category penetration so low at 30% there is much room for incremental growth which tests show our Boosted Smoothies will deliver.”

Boosted Smoothies are the first range of products developed by the Nestlé UK new business division formed in 2007 to help drive the company’s development into the UK’s leading nutrition, health and wellness company. The launch is being supported with a £5 million integrated marketing and communications campaign.

Since last year Boost Juice Bars has opened six stores across the UK - three in Manchester and others in Oxford, Nottingham, Lakeside, with many more planned.
