Pernod Ricard offers sneak preview of new Australian winesby Mike Dennis Pernod Ricard UK will this week offer the UK trade and wine press a “sneak preview” of its new premium range of Australian wines to be launched as the George Wyndham range. The range of five wines, from the Wyndham Estate in the Hunter Valley but also using gapes from regions such as Langhorne Creek, Padthaway and MacLaren Vale, will be seen in the UK for the first time at the Australia Day trade tasting in London on Thursday (31 January). The wines are due to be launched in the UK later this year. The brand comprises: a 2005 Shiraz It was first launched in Australia last April. The wines retailed around £9.50 in Australia, almost a £3-a-bottle premium to the well-established Wyndham Estate Bin range.
