The UK's first ever bathroom cleaning product that is 100% recyclable has just been launched.

It’s also the first to put detailed instructions on the box about exactly HOW consumers can recycle it.

Pride Bath & Shower has been launched by HomePride, the people behind the best selling Oven Pride oven cleaner.

Both the packaging and the product itself can be recycled.

The packaging is made of cardboard, which is already at least 75 per cent recycled.

And the actual foam cleaning pads are derived from plastic. That means they can be recycled with other plastics, as collected by most local authorities around the UK.

The cleaning pads contain no chemicals, meaning they are safe to be used by anyone, including children.

Pride Bath & Shower’s powerful cleaning power is activated when it is wet with hot water.

HomePride’s Managing Director Matt Stockdale said: “A deep clean that’s green! This product is extremely powerful, yet it’s totally free of impregnated, often choking cleaning chemicals.

“Every part of the product and its packaging can be recycled, and we give our customers clear instructions how to do that on the pack itself.

“No other cleaning product does that – but we hope it’s a trend that will catch on. The more we can help consumers, the better it will be for the environment.”
