Wanis launches Tropical Sun Coconut Milk Light

Read more about
Source : Wanis Ltd

Wanis Ltd, the UK's leading distributor of Afro-Caribbean food and drink products, is launching Coconut Milk Light under its Tropical Sun range.

Tropical Sun Coconut Milk Light has 50% less fat than its premium counterpart and gives retailers the opportunity to impress health conscious consumers, who want to eat healthily but not at the expense of taste.

Tropical Sun Coconut Milk Light (RRP £0.69) is a highly versatile essential ingredient in a wide range of world cuisines including Indian, Thai, Latin, Afro-Caribbean and Chinese. Containing just 89 calories per 100ml compared to 194 calories from a standard can of coconut milk and with 9 grams of fat compared to 18.7 grams, Coconut Milk Light allows consumers to reduce their calorie and fat intake in a range of ethnic dishes.

Wanis Ltd MD, Sanjay Wadhwani commented: “With retailers paying increased attention to their World Food fixtures and at a time when ethnic cuisines are enjoying increased media interest, it made sense for us to expand one of our key ranges. With many consumers becoming increasingly health conscious, we are confident that Coconut Milk Light will give retailers an excellent opportunity to increase sales by providing a product low in fat and calories that doesn’t sacrifice flavour.”

Wanis’ Tropical Sun brand range offers over four hundred essential ethnic food products. In addition to Coconut Milk Light, the Tropical Sun brand comprises a range of sauces including Original Hot Pepper Sauce, canned products from Mackerel to gungo peas, an extensive selection of flours and powders as well as an exciting choice of seasonings and spices.
