Consumers can now take their pick when making a brew to support the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's volunteer crew, with Earl Grey, English Breakfast and Green Tea joining the original Lifeboat Tea. The teas will continue to raise invaluable funds, with 7p from every pack sold going directly to the RNLI to help train and equip the charity's dedicated volunteers. Lifeboat Tea originated over thirty years ago as a mark of gratitude by a sailor and crew saved by the RNLI. With £100,000 raised to date, Lifeboat Tea has had a complete redesign. The bold, new orange packaging, currently including a series of RNLI case studies, brings the refreshing, Kenyan black tea up to date ready for the ambitious 2010 fundraising targets. Producers of the fundraising tea, Williamson Tea, and the RNLI aim to double the £100,000 raised with national fundraising activities and supporting PR and media. Williamson Tea is a family company with over 140 years of tea expertise. The Lifeboat Tea range is grown on their own Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified farms in Kenya. Lifeboat Tea is available in four different varieties. Lifeboat Tea (80 tea bags)/ Earl Grey (50 tea bags) / English Breakfast (50 tea bags) / Green Tea (50 tea bags) has a recommended RRP of £2.09 and is available now in Waitrose stores nationwide, Ocado, leading independent stores and at RNLI shops.
