Tahira produces chocolate Ramadan calendar

Tahira – Europe’s leading Halal brand – have produced a Ramadan calendar containing 30 pieces of milk chocolate each embossed with a traditional symbol and packed within its own plastic cell so they can be removed individually daily during the holy month.

Each chocolate is also accompanied by a quiz printed on the plastic.

The calendar itself comes in a highly decorated box featuring Islamic illustrations and messages designed to appeal specifically to children. The calendar will retail at £2.49.

Ramadan is the most important festival in the Muslim calendar and this year begins on early September.

Explains Tahira Foods’ Account Manager, Faiza Akmal: “We introduced the calendar last year and it proved a sell-out success. This year, the number of stockists has expanded significantly and we have increased our stocks accordingly.

“The concept – similar to a Christian Advent calendar – has proved popular with both children and their parents because it gets the message of Ramadan across in a way that it both informative and fun.”
