PG tips, the number one tea brand from Unilever UK, is launching a new on-pack cash-prize promotion in the run up to Christmas on all packs of PG tips Regular 40’s 80’s 160’s 240’s, and PG tips Decaf 40’s 80’s 160’s.
Available to all retailers from the end of September 2012, each pack will feature a unique code which consumers can enter online to find out instantly if they have won £5, £50, £500, £5,000, with all consumers receiving money off vouchers for the PG tips Special Moments range.
Tana Walker, PG tips assistant brand manager at Unilever UK, said: “Our new cash-prize promotion will provide shoppers with a reason to purchase PG tips at full price, increasing the average price per pack and driving value into the Tea category. We’re hoping the promotion will allow consumers to see the benefit of purchasing full price products – as well as offering them a little something extra in the run up to Christmas.
“PG tips remains the number one Tea brand in the UK, worth over £154m, with a 26% market share. As category leaders, we are dedicated to continuing to support the Tea category by attracting new consumers through value added promotions as well as unlocking new consumption occasions with the launch of the Special Moments range.”
The promotion is set to run for eight weeks and will benefit from £1.4m marketing support.
